COVID-19 Update

ProActive Chiropractic was founded on the over-riding principle of bringing wellness to our families and community. We strive to make this the foundation of all our decisions. Our team continues to treat patients in our offices, as it is vital to maintain good health. We also continue to maintain our high standard of disinfecting our chiropractic tables after each patient and also cleaning all hard, common use surfaces throughout each day.

Currently, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) is impacting the health of this country. We are constantly monitoring the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to stay up to date on their recommendations. As Covid -19 works its way into our region, we wanted to remind you of the benefits of chiropractic in fighting illness and the steps to take to combat this particular virus. As many of you know, chiropractic care is essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The chiropractic adjustment removes nerve interference allowing for your immune system to function at its highest potential and to combat illness naturally. When the adjustment is complimented by proper nutrition and personal hygiene, your body is in the best position to maintain good health.

What next.

The CDC has provided a number of simple reminders to help you protect yourself from contracting this virus or spreading it to others. You can follow their guidelines through the link provided below. In short; however, it comes down to using your common sense:

  • Washing your hands often
  • Practicing good social distancing
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • We would also encourage you to eat healthy, get the appropriate amount of rest, and to relax.

While a majority of our community will be successful in combating this virus, we must be vigilant in following these guidelines to reduce and minimize the impact on those that cannot. Our youngest and oldest and immune compromised fellow citizens are the most vulnerable. Let’s make sure we all do the little things for ourselves to benefit the community as a whole and reduce the spread of Covid-19.

What if I’m sick?

Unfortunately, there will be times when you get sick. If you are feeling sick, the CDC has also provided appropriate guidelines to help you determine the course of action. You can find those in the link below as well. If you are not feeling well, regardless of the specific virus, please be extra diligent and respectful to those around you by following the CDC guidelines. These steps include:

  • Stay home, except to get medical care. When seeking care, wear a mask, cover your coughs and sneezes, and wash your hands often.
  • Avoid being in public areas.
  • Stay away from people and pets.
  • Isolate until instructed not to by your healthcare provider.

At ProActive Chiropractic, we pride ourselves in maintaining a healthy environment in which we can treat our patients. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with questions or to schedule an appointment. We do ask; however, if you are feeling sick, please inform our staff when you call. This will allow us to coordinate your time and be prepared for your arrival. Our goal is to support the health of our community and to minimize the spread of illness.
